Mirrors are hands down our favourite pieces to style with. They are the favourite child, even though we claim to not play favourites. So here's the 411 on everything you need to know.

Mirrors bring grandeur to an open space, especially if you have high ceilings or bare walls. They are a perfect solution to open up a smaller space, welcoming natural light and bouncing reflections.

If you have a pretty view from a window or balcony make sure you are capturing that reflection. Its going to create a feeling of openness and bring the outside in. Rustic & weathered frames are perfect for this.

Take this one for instance, its the perfect example of how this piece brings a sense of grandeur, bounces light and reflection.

This beauty was carved by hand in Rajasthan, India and is around 120 years old. It was an old door frame and we had it transformed into an oversized mirror.

Our Sundar (meaning beautiful in Hindi) Mirror range are stunning, they are made from old hand carved door frames and are over 2 metres tall. They take 3 people to move.. but minor detail.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, mirrors are a must for smaller spaces, especially apartments or villa's. They bounce the light around the room making it seem deeper and wider.

We have a narrow entrance at our place and by introducing an oversized mirror its opened the space up, drawing the attention away from that feeling of confinement.

ITS ALL ABOUT THE AMBIENCE

Mirrors wear many hats (that sounds weird, a mirror wearing a hat?), they are also the perfect piece when used against a dark or wall papered wall.

A reflective surface on a darker or accent wall will make the space pop and the contrast is a match made in mirror heaven.
